Our Service

MakeAStory creates personalized illustrated storybooks for children. You provide a child's name, age, interests, and an optional photo, and we create a unique book available as a digital preview and a printed hardcover delivered to your door.

By using makeastory.app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Cancellations

You may cancel your order within 24 hours of placing it for a full refund. To cancel, email us at support@makeastory.app as soon as possible. After 24 hours, production will have started and cancellation may no longer be possible.

Refunds & Damaged Books

Because every book is uniquely created and printed on demand, we do not accept returns. However, if your book arrives damaged or with a print defect, contact us within 14 days of delivery and we will arrange a free replacement or a full refund — no questions asked.

Refunds are processed within 7 working days. Your bank may take additional time to reflect the credit.

Your Photos

• You retain full ownership of any photos you upload.
• By uploading a photo you grant us a limited license to use it solely to generate your book's illustrations.
• You confirm you have the right to upload the photo and that any person pictured has given their consent (or parental consent for children).
• Photos are never used for advertising or promotional purposes.
• Photos are automatically deleted within 24 hours if no order is placed, or within 12 months of your order being fulfilled.

Orders & Payment

• All prices are in USD and include applicable fees.
• Payment is collected securely at checkout. We never store your card details.
• Delivery times are estimates and may vary by location.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to upload content that is unlawful, offensive, or infringes on third-party rights, and not to use the service to generate content that is inappropriate or exploitative in any way. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order that violates these terms.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
